Samsung had attempt to launch luxury phones. The previously known attempt was to partner with with Bang & Olufsen, but it didn’t turn out to be a successful one. But today, Samsung is doing it alone, by having launched their new phone, Samsung Ego GT-S9402, heading to the luxury market.
The Ego GT-S9402 does not come with a fancy design. Instead, Samsung opts for the classical candy bar form factor. And of course, this phone is dressed with some “luxury” advanced materials in order to compete in the luxury market.
The Samsung Ego cellphone has a body that is made of special material, liquid metal, a composite alloy developed by Caltech. The liquidmetal-made body is 3 times stronger, able to stand 1.8 times the pressure, 1.6 times more flexible, able to absorb 3 times more vibration and 100% local thermal conductivity than titanium.
In short, this phone has a body that is much more durable, able to survice with various harsh tests and it shouldn’t heat up easily. Another great feature is this phone supports dual SIM cards. But too bad is the phone does not support 3G.
